I have a broken iPad 5, it doesn’t charge, and as far as I knew the battery wasn’t that bad -It was used for about 2 years-. I suspect the dock connector is broken. what do you guys think?

What do you mean by it’s not charging?
Is the device powered on and not taking a charge?
Or is it completely dead and not turning on no matter how long you leave it on the charger for? You can purchase a USB ammeter off of amazon that I’ll link so you can try to diagnose the issue yourself.

Plug this device into the charging brick then plug in the lightning cable to the device and connect to the iPad and tell us what readings you’re getting. Pay attention to the numbers in blue. The numbers in red is the voltage coming from the charging brick and the numbers in blue represents the amps or how much current the device is drawing. Also let us know what state the device is in meaning it boots up to the lock screen or if it’s completely dead. You can also connect it to a computer and open iTunes to confirm it’s not in DFU mode. If it’s in DFU mode the computer will detect it and say the device will need to be restored.
