Use A1312 EMC2374 to test EMC 2389 logic board?

I have an iMac Intel 21.5" A1311 EMC 2389, mid 2010, it can’t boot, has no chime, only LED 1 is on while power is on, LED 2-4 all off. Not sure if it is caused by bad logic board or GPU.

I do have an iMac A1312 EMC2374, late 2009 27”, woking ok, so I wonder if I could use my 27” iMac to test the logic board from my 21.5 inch iMac, just for diagnosis. I know the two iMacs are of different size, so I assume the two logic boards may have different shapes. Since these two macs are only one year apart, late 2009 to mid 2010, hopefully the logic boards have connectors with same size/shape, so they can be interchanged (?)
