1st generation iPhone SE touch screen no longer responds to touch after battery replacement. I obviously disturbed something.

The 5 series like the 5, 5S/5C, and SE all share the same basic design and very similar screens and are unfortunately very fragile when it comes to repairs. You most likely damaged the display while doing the battery replacement. I myself have damaged them from time to time even if I never even remove the display.
