I am a first-time repairer, I was replacing the Joy-con on my Switch using the tools I’d received in the Joy-con repair kit, and i accidentally popped off the battery connector. I am trying not to panic here, but I have no soldering tools. I presume superglue would be too risky a solution?

no you should solder the connector in place cause the pins contact to the logic board will be bad. Any electronic repair shop can do it for cheap.

Thank you, I was really struggling with this, but do you know where i can order a replacement battery connector?

Looks like part number is 0781710002
2 pin socket--same as the connection for Steamdeck haptic/touchpad which is what I needed it for. Confirmed by dissambling my Joycon and fitting the broken off socket from the Steamdeck onto the Switch battery.

Looks like it is a 0781710002 socket/2 pin connector. Same as the Steamdeck touchpad/haptic feedback connection--which is what I needed it for. Confirmed it fits by disassembling my Joycon and snapping the battery into the socket that broke off my Steamdeck.
