Horizontal lines on solid color, graphics issue or a LCD issue?

Hi all, I’ve recently purchased a second hand mid-2014 15” MBP everything seems to work perfectly however I’ve recently noticed when viewing on a solid blue color, these weird horizontal lines kept showing up on the bottom left corner of the screen. Not sure if this is a graphics issue or an LCD issue. Should I do something about it or just leave it be? I don’t really mind it however I’m a bit concerned that it might get worse in the long run.

You could try an external monitor via the Thunderbolt/mDP port to check to see if the issue is more than the internal display. I think you’ll find the external display won’t show this.

I think what happened is someone went wild cleaning their systems screen allowing the cleaner to drip over the edge of the display panel. On either the side or bottom where you see the lines and the dark area.

So from now on place the cleaner on the towel and then wipe the display don’t spray the display directly! This is also true for the upper case cleaning as well as you don’t want the wetness to get under the keys or into the trackpad.

Sadly, your only option to fix this is to replace the display assembly Reemplazo del conjunto de la pantalla del MacBook Pro 15" Retina a new display is about $550 USD.

It likely won’t get worse. Did you get a good deal?

Thanks for the reply, I'll try it out with the external monitor once I get to work. Also, does it only have to be the mDP or can I also use the hdmi port as well? It isn't really that noticeable unless I put on certain colors to it, so I don't think I have replace the screen just yet. And yes I got a very great deal with it, bought it for around $480.
