Why is my dads laptop so laggy its brand new

i have this asus vivobook x540u so my dad bought this laptop for his business but after he pressed the power button it boots fine but its took a long time i was wondering should i uninstall this asus apps this the laptop why i hated i3 so much so the specs are intel core i3 7th gen 1tb hdd 4gb ram i said to my dad thats a decent specs for a laptop but its so freaking slow even roblox it cant handle it properly it keeps crashing so since my dad bought a desktop pc im the one whos using the laptop now. Plss give me recommendations
