Is it possible to increase archive capacity

If I were to obtain a higher capacity version of the eeprom that is used for archive memory (same chip series, same manufacturer, higher capacity variant), and removed the original eeprom chip and soldered the new one on instead, would the TI-83+ be capable of :

a. Using it as archive memory at all?

b. Utilizing the full capacity of the eeprom?

c. Even running the OS properly?

What eeprom do you have now? Are you going to program the eeprom so that it can continue to properly function?

Sadly no, even if the component is compatible with your calculator, TI has designed the OS to only use as much Archive space as the original FLASH chip. This is true for all TI 84 and TI 83 calculators as far as I know.

If all you want is some more storage to offload some things, you can connect your calculator to your computer using TI Connect (not the CE version). You can then use your computer to store programs and things you're not using.

The Awesomer  most likely not. You will need to ensure that your eeprom is actually working for your TI-83 as well as interact with the other components.
