Phone not booting after drop. Black screen

Received an iPhone 8 that was dropped. When I try to boot it up with a power supply it will jump to 250ma and go down to like 100ma and stay there. Black screen with no Apple logo.

Found a line on has no value and I was wondering if that would be the cause. It is on the touch ID connector, SPI_AP_TO_MESA_MOSI-CONN. It is connected to 1 capacitor, filter, resistor, and the CPU. Replaced all the small parts and that leaves the CPU.

Not a lot of experience with iPhone 8 yet so any pointers would be appreciated.

What do you mean “has no value”? Do you mean it’s reading OL on your meter in resistance mode, reading 0 (ohms or volts) or do you mean something else?

At any rate, if you want to rule things out, just connect the logic board to a known good Lightning flex and battery (or DCPS) and see if the computer recognizes it. After a hard drop, almost anything can happen so there’s no silver bullet here. Probe the main power rails to start, then move onto secondary rails if required. You can also probe the BB subsystem. With more info, we may be able to point you in the right direction.

Yeah I meant 0L, problem is the NAND. Took it off and my NAND reader cannot get any information of the iphone from it. It says I need to repair when using JC assistant.

Have never done that but I guess the NAND is corrupted?

Could be corrupted or internally damaged. Let us know what you find.
