Hyundai Kona audio system

Does anyone know if the Kona without the sound package has all the wiring for an amp and sub. My car is the Canadian “Preferred” trim which is, to my knowledge, equivalent to the SEL trim in America. It's the second tier up so it doesn't come with the improved sound system and I tried to pry out the little pocket in the trunk space to see if the amp wiring would be there but it didn't want to come off easily so I stopped. Same with the sub, is the wiring there and where is it located? Someone told me it is supposed to be there the rest passenger seat, some said rear driver's side.

I dont have a real answer for you but I would not get my hopes up, in todays manufacturing world they try to save all the money they can and this would be several feet of wire. If it is there, good on you. If you are going to install a system and you need to know if its there are not, then you will need to force the panels out of the way no matter if it is there or not to install your new system anyways, good luck.

That's what I was assuming. I know some vehicles many years ago would be sold with out certain things but they would be wired for it. I'm not wanting to damage the panel more if it isn't, I already put a slight nick in it. I would rather just consider mounting it elsewhere. The wiring would be especially beneficial as I have never done this before and have no idea what I'm doing lol

There is no wiring for the sub. Also the cover on the rear panel is attached with screws

it may have a separate feed or pin available for any factory sub upgrade which will run off the stock amp usually as they are usually only a very low power, if your going to install a factory sub then you might be able to get away with abit of a route around for a feed, if your are planning on putting a powerful sub and amp in to rattle ear drums you’ll need a low line converter and take a sound feed from a stock speaker for your sound, wire the remote wire into the ignition for the car or power supply for the radio as long as the radio turns off when the car is off, and  put power and ground in usual places.
