Why does my windshield wiper park in the middle of the windshield

So I just changed the wiper motor to my brother’s Celica and it works perfectly fine, but now the wiper stops in the up position, well more towards the middle, I’ve tried adjusting the wiper linkage a bit but it just keeps going back to the same position when it’s stopped.
