might want to take a look at the following post and read the advice given by oldturkey3. Slightly different problem but pretty much the same technical procedure to solve your problem.
Screen is blank, camera seems on
If you decide to try the 'hard reset" avenue, back up all your photo's first as all data is wiped during the hard reset process.
