How can I remove something stuck in my sim card slot?

I dropped my phone in water this past weekend. I immediately removed the case and dried it off. I then blow dried it for about 20 minutes on a cool setting. I removed the sim card slot and placed the phone in a bag of rice for 4 days. I removed my iphone and much to my surprise after charging for about 15 minutes it turned on! My screen, sound, camera, and games all work. However, I have a BIG small problem. There is a piece of rice stuck in my sim card slot, so now even though my phone survived I can't insert my sim card to be able to place a call or text! What is the most effective, efficient, and safe way to remove something from the sim card slot? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

That the phone apart and turn the motherboard around there is spaces in the SIM card tray that allow you to poke out any objects

I have the same problem but with a small, thin piece of metal. What do I do?

To remove a piece of rice, you should used a small object made up of metal or you can use needle with a super glue on it. Stick with that foreign object then pull it out.

Same thing happened to me. I had rice in the pop port and in the headphone port as well. I'm going to have to go to a few forums and recommend not putting a dunked iPhone into a bag of rice!

Anyway I tried vacuuming it out and poking around with the Apple SIM tray remover thingy but to no avail.

Then I just pushed the SIM tray in as far as I could. I noticed when I pulled it out some busted up pieces of rice grain fell out. So I kept doing it tapping firmly but gently each time I pulled out the SIM tray. I did this until no rice bits dropped out and the tray fitted snugly like normal. Then I used the vacuum cleaner just to make sure.

Once I put the SIM back in I did a restore and the phone works fine!

Sounds brutal but from what I could tell the SIM tray hole is part of the logic board on the phone so even if you took the phone apart you still wouldn't be able to get to it. Based on that I figured I had nothing to lose.
