How do I put new games on my iPod?

I recently got and iPod nano 5, and am wondering how I can put new game on it. I found thins link to a discussion

but the suggestions don’t work and based on other articles i’m guessing the the instructions are for a windows computer. we have an iMac running Mac OS X El Capitan. I also found a bunch of game archives on line here:

I tried a few different thing but could not get the new games to show up on my iPod.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get it to work?
