How did my iPhone just die? It worked last night!

Last night (6/2) my phone was working fine but when I plugged it into charge, it turned off, unresponsive to anything just a black screen. Startled, I left it on my wireless charger and for a few minutes it turned back on but it wasn’t in the state when it restarts “Passcode to enable Face ID, etc.” I plug it back in thinking I was alright and next morning (6/3) my alarm didn’t go off because it’s just dead. No response to buttons, no charging indicator, no vibration when mute-unmute.

Charger has served well for a year so idk what went wrong. I am using the stock apple cube outlet thing and a black belkin extended charger 9”

any ideas?? Urgent problem thanks!

Was the phone dropped or came into contact with water in the last few days before the failure?

Electronic devices can fail spontaneously. There are thousands of individual components in the device, pretty much any one of them failing can cause the phone to fail as well. If you have a copy of your data, just go to Apple and have the device replaced as it is still under warranty. If you need to recover the data, then find a reputable shop that does micro-soldering repairs.

No contact with water recently, but it might be a problem after I did drop it once yes. I’ll try and recover my data.
