The above link is to the operators manual for your lawn mower. An audible warning is given on two conditions: 1.) when the grass-catcher is full (see pages eng22-23 or 62-63 of the pdf), and 2.) when the protection device is activated (see pages eng24 and eng29, or pages 64 and 69 of the pdf).
On page eng23 (63 of the pdf), it states the engine will stop when the grass-catcher is lifted. Given that the alarm will sound when the grass catcher is full, its possible the weight of the grass is opening the grass catcher, or the grass catcher is opening enough to stop the engine and grass clipping are on the sensor of the micro-switch (see element 4 of Figure on page eng23). Make sure the sensor is free from grass clippings, and the grass catcher is firmly shut.
The card protection device also causes the the engine to stop. The alarm should go off when you remove the key, and the protection device is self-resetting, and should reset after a few seconds. You may also want to look at the 7.5A delayed fuse and see if it is blown. The manual states this fuse must be replaced after having eliminated the fault (see page eng29).
