No. While the 2013 display will work on the 2013 & 2014, it will not work on the 2015.

The questionnis will the 2015 screen work on 2013 model... (retrofit)?

I can understand that the ‘13 will not work on ‘15 model..

@tiggger71 - No it won't work in that direction either!

Just like how gasoline won't power a diesel engine or how diesel fuel won't power a gas engine.

I’m currently using mid 2015 Retina screen on late 2013 MacBook Retina. It works fine, I get brightness on apple load bar screen, web camera works. However, display brightness cannot be changed/adjusted (nothing happens) until you put the computer to sleep and wake it up. After that, brightness control works fine.

So it is possible to put a 2015 screen on a late 2013 MacBook Pro?

@clown2joker - Sadly d0d0p is sending you in the wrong direction!

Let's look at this from a parts perspective why would Apple (and the parts sellers) make is clear they are not compatible parts? These are very different generations of displays! This gets into the signaling these displays use eDP connections vs iDP connections

Apple jumped from one to the other. So as I tried to express above "Just like how gasoline won't power a diesel engine or how diesel fuel won't power a gas engine." Thats what you are facing here.

Bottomline: Use the correct display for your system!
