Before you embark on soldering a Bluetooth chip onto the thing I would recommend something like this:

https://www.amazon.com/KOKKIA-Transmitte...

If you still want to get crazy you can try this:

Good luck sir!

Your recommendation to buy a Bluetooth transmitter would serve the purpose better, with better rang. And that installing Bluetooth in the iPod will not be worth the hassle of soldering on the iPod and getting poor rang.

Yes, you can rebuild your iPod classic with Bluetooth capability.

I have had about 30,000 songs and performances in WAV format and built 2TB iPod classic 7th generation.

I thought it would be nice if it had a Bluetooth function, so I intensively searched someone who successfully rebuilded iPod classic with Bluetooth function.

1.      Pendletin 115 runnng the following Youtube channel (URL:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GV9-NCiq...) explains how it can be rebuilt. However, I do not have enough knowledge as Pendleton 115 does and soldering gun and so forth. So I gave up this method.

2.      While I search for "rebuilding iPod classic with Bluetooth capability", I accidently found that I can rebuild "a Bluetooth iPod classic with wireless charging capability".

Please refer to the following URL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgRfzyKi...

And I actually placed an order transparent backplate to

ZELTA3D PTE. LTD.

CO/GST Reg No: 201634892W

18 Boon Lay Way

#09-151

Singapore 609966

Tel: +65 6259 3309

Email: contact@zelta3d.com

The transparent case is fine but it was made with a 3D printer, so it wasn't as nice as I'd hoped.

3.      I found a ready-to-assemble backplate kit from https://classicsarerelevant.com/

I paid 171.98 euros for this, but the Bluetooth module didn't work, and Amir Rees(seller) admits that some other buyers have also had this problem.

I requested the seller an exchange from the seller, and the seller(who lives in Proto Portugal) sent several emails saying that he would exchange it as shown below.

But he never actually sends replacement parts. Those who want to have the Bluetooth function on their iPod classic have to be careful about Amir Rees and the website.

Hi Gene,

Good to hear from you, I changed emails and I didn't hear from you... I'm sorry! I will be sending you a new transmitter as soon as possible then. Should have a tracking number sometime this week.

Hi Gene,

Once again, apologies for all the delays, and thank you for understanding. I will be able to post your temporary replacement iPod next week.

Hi Gene,

What I can do for you is send you an iPod with the kit already installed, so you at least have an iPod to use while you wait for the original one to be returned to you. Then when you receive your original iPod, you can send the replacement iPod back to me. And I can also include another kit in the shipment with the replacement iPod so that you can install the kit into your original iPod straight away when you receive it.
