7 plus boot loops when front camera flex is plugged in

So i replaced screen on an iphone 7 plus, transfered all parts to new screen and re assembled, but it was stuck in a boot loop, i opened the phone back up and found that if i unplugged front cam flex it boots and works fine. So i oredered a new cam flex which did the same, i tried a cam flex from an 8 plus i have as they look identical and still got the same. Now if i take the cam flex off screen and plug in seperately the phone seems to work. I am baffled here

I don’t know for certain if an 8P FCAM flex will work on the 7P…I doubt it does even if it looks identical. Looking at the schematic, I see that the pinouts are different and the voltages used to power the camera are also slightly different.

At any rate, you really need to have access to a known-good 7Plus FCAM in this instance to rule out a modular issue or not. That said, if it seems to work when connected but not fully installed, there may be some damage to the flex that is “shorting out” or kinking when fully installed.
