Brown flap for headphone ribbon
Hi, is there an alternative way to hold the headphone ribbon down to the logic board if you break the brown flap that holds the headphone ribbon in place?
Es esta una buena pregunta?

Are you talking about the connector each as seen in step#6 of this guide?

UPDATE, that is a locking tab. Make sure it is inserted all the way and use a piece of Kapton tape on it to pull it into place and then stick it down.

Thanks for responding. No, I’m referring to the “brown tab of the headphone ribbon cable” from Step 9. The brown tab broke off despite how gentle I was so I have taped the ribbon cable down to the connector but it seems the circuit isn’t completed because there is no sound from the headphone jack (music still plays perfectly through the 30 pin connector).
