My son's leapfrog platinum stopped charging. I used the USB cord that came with it and plugged it up to my laptop and the light didn't come on so I think it's the charging port. Leapfrog already told me they don't fix them and its 6 months passed the warranty. Is there any way I can repair it?

Charging ports on these devices need to be replaced under soldering. This is not something that can be easily done without a soldering iron, hot air rework station and experience in doing so.
This will have to be done by a repair shop to replace the charging port.
