Opening a phone, solvents for cleaning, re-gluing, loca glue questions

I just got a Samsung S9+ and this is my first time with a phone that's completely sealed. I've got some questions on servicing this phone myself (bought used overseas to out of warranty) in Australia.

- Will a normal hair dryer work ok for opening up the phone?

- I definitely need at least two suction cups to pull from both sides of the phone right?

- Is there special tape or adhesive I can buy to re-seal the phone and still have it be waterproof afterwards?

- What solvents for cleaning the board and glass will not harm the oleophobic coating? Isopropyl alcohol? Electronics contact cleaner? Acetone (probably would harm it)?

I will only address two of your questions, hopefully someone more familiar with the S9 will give you additional feedback.

Waterproofing: IMHO would not trust any DIY or non-factory repair to allow your phone to retain it’s waterproofing/water resistant rating. The reality is that the adhesives and sealants are applied under clean room conditions with factory automation (I hope… ;>). Anyone doing this in a normal shop is not going to get the same level of sealing. It may be good enough but I would never assume it is.

Solvents: Use high purity IPA (isopropyl alcohol, >90%).
