Replaced screen now only booting in safe mode, possible smc fault.

Hi There,

I just replaced the screen following the ifixit instructions, all went well, however now the Mac only boots in safe disk mode. I reset pram, reset smc, still same problem, upon running apple hardware test it found an issue with the smc and gave a code PFM006. can anyone give me advice or is it time to visit Apple. thanks

I looked up the error code and I found on the Apple website that the error code you mentioned means “there may be a problem with the SMC”. Just my two cents for anyone who needs them. @danj I remeber you have solved a similar problem like this before.
