LCD Replacement Circuit Board Identification

I was trying to replace the LCD/Digitizer on my laptop (Lenovo Yoga 700-11ISK). But the new LCD/Digitizer/Bezel, didn’t come with everything on it, so I had to transfer some parts over to it (webcam, wifi antenna, etc.). I have looked at the guide for this and it doesn’t go past just removing the screen.

On the old screen, there is a little circuit board that the 2 ribbons from the LCD plug into that need to be transferred to the new bezel. But the ribbons were glued into the circuit board and I was not able to remove them without damaging the board. Can you tell me what this board is, or where I can buy another one?

I have attached photos of it. The 2nd photo is of some markings I found under the tape on the back of it that might help identify it.

Update (08/19/2018)

Here is the photo of the placement of the board that I mentioned in the reply to @oldturkey03 (circled in orange). This is not a photo of my laptop. This is from the lenovo parts site.

Hope this helps.

Eric

@eww34445 that looks like the LCD controller board. Tripod makes t-con boards, so this should be part of the controller It will help if you can tell us, or show us, where it was glued to. If it was glued to the LCD itself it should be part of the LCD screen.

Besides the excellent guides you can also download the maintenance manual for your computer from here

Thanks. A few things....

The whole board was not glued. It was the ribbons from the lcd were put into the ports on this board and then glued over top, even though the ports had flip down latches to hold the ribbons in place.

I looked at that maintenance manual, but it doesn't seem to show this part on the page that shows the exploded view of the screen parts.

I have a photo for you of the placement of the board, but doesn't seem I can post photos in a reply, so I will add a new post.

Thanks for your help,

Eric

I found some very similar looking parts on ebay and ebay.co.uk and they are all listed as "Lenovo Yoga Touch Screen Digitizer Control Board". But I can't find one for my particular model.

If I can find one that looks identical to mine, with all the same numbers on it, but it's listed for a different model laptop, can I still assume that it will work for me?

And is ebay my best bet to find one of these, or can you suggest anywhere else I should look?

@eww34445 yes you can replace it for as long as the numbers on the board match. It does not matter what model the board will come out of.
