The 1999 Chevrolet Malibu is part of the fifth generation (1997-2003) manufactured by General Motors. This is the first smaller, front-wheel-drive Malibu that General Motors put back on the market after the Malibu line was temporarily discontinued in the early 1980's.

J De did the car work when you started or was it in a no start condition before you started replacing parts ? If it hasn’t been running how long has it been since it last ran ? Is the battery you replaced it with new? Was it fully charged . Do you have a multi meter . If so test the battery , it should have at least 12.6 volts to start the car . Check your battery connections . Start with the obvious and make sure your connected correctly negative to ground(Black) positive to power(Red). If you have a slow crank situation check the connection at the ground on the car to frame and the connection at the battery . If you have good power at the battery and good clean connections at the starter and grounds then try replacing the starter. Start with these suggestions and then let use know whats up . A little more info on the car as to what state it was in when you started working on it would be helpful .
