SSD recognized, but cant find it in file explorer

I replaced the 1 TB HDD in the laptop with a Samsung 860 EVO 250 GB SSD. The HDD was empty, I had never put any files in it (all of my files were on the M.2 drive), so I felt no need to use magician for data transfer. I installed it correctly and then downloaded Magician to the M.2 to update firmware. Magician can find it, and I can see it in device manager, but cannot find it in file explorer. File explorer just shows the M.2 as OS (C:) as the only hard drive. Magician says I have the latest firmware and device manager says my drivers are up to date. How do i get file explorer to show the hard drive and let me put files on it?

I figured it out. I had to go to windows disk management and initialize the disk, then create a partition.
