Crushers wireless Bluetooth has stopped working.

I can use the headphones with a cable and charge it too use the bass, but i cant even turn on the Bluetooth mode, i hear nothing, like it never had Bluetooth. when i go to charge it though, i only see a red light no matter how long its been charging. I really want to fix this problem since they are good headphones and i have very bad luck with cables, so any assistance would be great.

My Skull Candy Crusher are having a similar problem, since yesterday when I’m trying to connect to them, they start to sound like an “interference” sound, for some seconds, then high pitch sound stops and they’re apparently connected, but nothing sounds on them. The on and off sounds are not working, nor the volume sounds.

The “press both volume buttons” didn’t work, neither shutting them off and on again. I don’t think they’re broken, but it’s pretty weird this episode. One important note, the cable sound is working perfectly, so… it’s confusing, seems like something bluetooth related, but affecting all the headphones.

I’ll appreciate some help or advice too. I hope you find the especific solution to your problem.

have the same problem. any solution?

- de

I have the exact same issue :((

- de

Pressing both volume up and down worked for me.... side not the cable broke for me after 2 weeks rubbish..... shame as well when you’re paying £95+ for these headphones.

I am having the exact same problem. For about 3 months I used bluetooth on these headphones and they worked like a charm. Yesterday, I used the AUX cable to use my headphones with an old PC. Now, the headphones have stopped working. When I try to turn them on, I feel the spring vibrating and nothing else. Volume up+down troubleshooting also doesn't help.

It's very strange. Just the use of AUX cable can make the wireless headphones dead. AUX is still working. If anyone has a solution then kindly share. It'll be a great help

Turn off the device then press and hold volume down and up for 10sec even if there will be no beep sounds, then on your laptop or any device you want to connect you crusher wireless, search on Bluetooth devices, now on your crusher pressh and hold the power botton until you see a blue and red flashing light, this will be discoverable now.

According to a Reddit thread:

They (Skullcandy customer support) told me to "reset" my Crusher Wireless headphones by turning them off and then holding the up and down buttons at the same time until I heard a beep.

I've tried that, but the thing is i cant even turn it on

I got blue and red flashing at the same time but didn’t here a beat . I tried it anyway and it did work . it finally connected. So yes it works!

- de

@lunatictitan Same here. Were you able to find a solution to the problem?

- de

I tried that, but the problem isn't with the headphones turning on or entering pairing mode. Instead, they are just failing to broadcast as discoverable or connect to any device that was previously connected to them. They can enter pairing mode, and I have reset them, but no device can connect to them.

If you’ve used cable for a long time, you still use battery for the bass, so if you try to turn it on, and only hear the spring of the bass popping, it is because your battery is low, just charge it and you can turn it on again. Not using the bass would help to keep it charged.

I got surprised one time my Bluetooth connection for the headset has no sound and only hiss, but its working when wired. I found the culprit, it will get broken when you connected the aux cable and then after removing it, the pin inside the hole of the headset for the aux cable gets stuck. i fixed mine by inserting and removing the aux cable several times.

Holding the power button DOESN’T FIX IT IF IT WON’T TURN ON!

I also had that problem and I was able to solve it: volume keys problem and it didn't work. what worked for me was to leave it on all night until the battery was discharged, the next day I turned it on and it gave me the voice message: low battery, I recharged it and all good, the problem is that the bass consumes battery when you use it with cable, so the ideal is to always have it well charged.

Hi, I know this is a really late answer but it might help.

I was having the same problem of only hearing interference and not even hearing the “power-on” when pressing the power button, not only that but the sound from the AUX cable sounded sort of scratchy (almost when an AUX chord doesn’t work properly) when connected to my laptop. What I did was connect it to another device (in my case my phone) with the AUX cable and although at first it didn’t connect, after connecting it a few times, the headphones started working properly, both with the AUX cable and on Bluetooth.

To be honest I don’t know what might have been or why they fixed themselves but it worked for me, so it might work for you.

For more context, I tried using them on my gaming PC (which doesn’t have a mic and I can’t get any mic to work on it) but they didn’t really work, and they sounded scratchy there too. After that, the problem from above started.

TL; DR: I connected them to another device in which they worked fine before and they started to work again. (I had done the ‘+’ and ‘-’ reset a few times already.)

The way I fixed mine, was by turning them off, back on again, then pressing and holding both the Plus button(+) and the minus button(-) and then try and connect them. That’s how mine worked

just today i plugged the cable to my AUX and the headphones died ....

after 4 hours i saw that post and i realised that my phones are dead ...

than i plugged the cable for the aux again in and out and after that everything was just fine !

so , i think the problem is at the connector for AUX cable ... an imperfect connection or something like this :)

For me, the headphones wouldn’t turn on at all. I had them plugged in all night but no light came on and they still wouldn’t turn on the next day. I fixed it by plugging the headphones in and then holding the power button until a red light comes on, that means that they are charging and that they must’ve just been too dead to do anything at all.

I think I might’ve found a solution. I was messing around with mine, because I was having the same issue. I held down the power button and the button that’s glowing purple together. I’m not sure how long for, I just held them both down until they both turned off and it seemed to have rebooted the headphones and they started working again. Hope this helps.

I have this problem too. All of a sudden, my Bluetooth stopped working. However, I could use them via auxiliary cable. I tried volume up and down at the same time, plugged in the cable several times, but with no effect. I gave them a break, while charging, even though they were 80 percent charged, and after 15 min, everything worked just fine. I’m glad they are ok. I thought they are broke, and that’s all. Hopefully, it will help someone out.

I just figured it out. I was playing my guitar amp through them and when I unplugged the aux the wireless stopped working. It would connect but no sound except for this computer/glitchy sound. So I plugged the aux back in and out a few times. The last time I pulled the aux out really fast and they started working again. I think if you use any aux chord besides the factory one they don't fit as good and possibly bend the inside connection and the headphones think they still have an aux chord in them. Idk mine work now

Hello user. I think I might have found out how to fix the issue. I know that you already got a new pair of headphones but I was having to same problem. The solution for me was to turn them on, hold volume up and down, and continue to hold it until it says power off. I just tried it not thinking anything would happen, but yeah.
