It works only with power adapter now.
A good friend of mine forgot his ipod touch 4g in his pants, now his mother washed it in the machine.
The only way too turn it on is to plug it with the power adapter.
In the touchscreen you can see water spottings at some areas.
I think the battery died and i have to change it with a new one.
But can i fix the display in this way to get a clean picture again or do i have to change it to for a new one?
Es esta una buena pregunta?

Thank you, i opened the ipod now till i can see the logical board. Then i tried to dry it at first. After one hour drying the ipod is loading again so i don't need a new battery anymore.
My next try is to get a way to clean the glass. Because as i can see now the water spittings are at the glass and not on the display itself.

I'd still clean it because the corrosion happens later, that is why it is important to clean it well. Same with the battery, I'd feel safer to replace it now rather than later since the corrosion can cause the failure later. Good Luck to you and your iPod.

Austin, what oldturkey says is excellent advice. If you like your ipod clean it now, or risk it dying a horrible death in the middle of a good song... corrosion/rust/short circuiting creeps up a simple clean now can save you megabucks

New status:
I have rescued the battery and the display. But the display is not full functionally. The end right side of the ipod don't react when i touch it. So the only part i have to change is the display with glass and digitizer.

Status update: I'am waiting for my ordered display unit. @ Oldturkey i can't order at digiexpress because i'am from germany and they don't ship the parts.
