I've just bought an Epson 7750 printer. I've accidentally done the initial set up and filled the ink cartridges up after. Now silly me after looking at instructions it says you need to put the ink in.. then plug the printer in and set it all up and then it'll give you the option to charge the ink.. anyone have any ideas how I can charge the ink now I've done the initial set up etc?

That didn't work for me it still won't print anything. I bought mines on Amazon and it came with ink already in it and when I filled the ink up and followed the charging instructions it didn't give the option to charge when I finished loading the ink. I did the instructions in this thread and nothing prints.

I just had epson on the phone and they told me to turn the printer off and hold down the power button and the help / ? button until the power clean option comes on then run that and follow on screen prompts until finished and then leave the printer for at least 12 hours for the printing to improve but if you run a print check everything should be fine anyways.

YAY! This worked for me on my Epson ET 2720. I was dumb and jumped the installation gun missing the ink charging step. You're my hero :)

Refurbished Epson 2720 where initial setup was completed, no ink. I installed all ink and followed these instructions. Bingo! I'm in business. Thank you!
so garbage products im so sick and tired of printers trying to find devious ways to make money i dont even care if i have to pay 2000$ for a %#*@ printer i just dont want this bullshit with ink waste tank replacement, the ink cartridge scam the chip that counts the number of pages and now the freaking coloured ink on black printring...

I have just done the same thing. I went on the Epson chat helpline and was given the following advice which worked.
Run the Head clean 6 times consecutively. That charged the pipework from the ink tanks to the head. Only downside was that it immediately then told me to replace the maintenance tank. Although, it can’t possibly be full as it used minimal ink, it seems that I have to do that now and use the spare that came with it as I can’t find a chip re-setter for this model available on the net yet! Anyway, the head cleaning does the trick. Next time read the instructions carefully first! Too late for the first inquirer but there may be more search for this in future as it’s so easy to do.

Yes, It allso worked for me, but I only clean heads once :)
I have done same fault, I startet the printer and filled the Ink after, now I can not charging the ink as in the first start of the printer - Please help, the solution above do not start Initialization ?
Thanks, but after the thorough clean heads option its works fine, but you most wait atleast 24 hours before you make the first printing :)

I cleaned it like described and it only pulls black and yellow. Other two colors still isn’t working.
Also used almost all the black
Had to press a diamond shaped key with a vertical line on it to start ink charging

I made the very same mistake! Alas, my 7750 does not appear to have come with an extra maintenance box so I just ordered 2.
ps I clearly should have read the instructions more carefully but, in our defense, they are written with a challenging flow of information. Glad at least I should be able to fix it.

I made the same mistake. I just filled the black ink (to save color ink as its usage is minimal) and completed the initial charge. Now when need a color print, it just don't work. Before trying above steps, could someone please elaborate the ink wastage in process.
