Where is the fuel filter for 2003 kia Optima 2.4l.

@creatus it is under vehicle mounted in the fuel rail line on the left hand side of the fuel tank.

@creatus earlier models of the Optima had the fuel filter in the tank with the pump and sender assembly. I wonder if yours has that since there obviously isn’t one where it is supposed to be. Try removing the rear seat cushion or check in the trunk to see if you have an access panel. You should be able to see the sender unit from there to locate filter if it is in the fuel tank. IF it is, those are usually not changed since the fuel strainer is kind of like a sock connected to the pump.

I looked under there numerous times and don't see it.
@creatus next time you crawl under there take a few pictures and let's see if we can see it. Better yet, consider putting it on a hoist and see if that will help to find it.
Had the car hoisted up on lifts. No fuel filter anywhere under the car.
Im having the same problem finding mine, an help?

I know there is a fuel pump panel in the trunk. I looked under the backseat and didn't see an access panel. I'm wondering where the fuel filter is, because I bought a fuel filter to my car and I'm wondering if there are two different models of the 2003 kia Optima lx.

I'm also looking for the cmp sensor.
I have a 06 kia optima 2.7 v6 and kia told me there was no fuel filter under the car. my filter was under the pump inside the fuel tank.
