Hi, while replacing screen op Iphone SE (5S) I have a part I dont know where to put. I replaced a completely broken screen so the part comes from eather front facing camera or home button. The part is small from rubber and quite flexible.

Hey Alexander! That looks like a gasket that belongs on the front panel sensor assembly (the front-facing camera, ambient light sensor, and microphone cable you pulled off the top of the phone). This particular rubber bit belongs on top of the ambient light sensor. We don't have a great image for you, but I found this unsourced one in a broken link on Google images.
Your phone will likely be fine without it, but it may struggle in dimming when you make calls and other ambient-light issues, since this helps shade that sensor.

Hello Alexander, Sam is correct. Your phone will be fine without the light sensor gasket.
This part often falls off during screen replacement due to the fact that it sits in a perfectly-sized slot on the original lcd frame, but may not fit in the replacement lcd frame. Occationally the molded plastic parts on an aftermarket screen will be off by a fraction of a millimeter here and there. I see this often right where the gasket fits between the lcd frame and the front camera catch.
So if you want, you can open the phone again and install the gaskey where is belongs. However, if the space looks too small, just leave the gasket out. You are better off fitting just this light sensor into an over-size space than you are trying to force the sensor with gasket into an under-sized space. Only put it back if it looks like it will fit snugly - don't risk smashing the sensor.
