I dropped it from a small height and the beam isnt sharp or precise its just a big green flashlight basically speaking and the fine tuning on it doesmt work well

you likely shattered your collimating lens.
The Collimating lens, is a Convex lens that focuses the beam into a straigh line. If this isnt in the device, you get a flashlight. Replacing this lens is usually more expensive than just picking up another Laser Pointer on Amazon.
