Broken front camera/proximity sensor/speaker after backlight repair

I was attempting to repair an iPhone 6s screen, carelessly left the battery attached and blew the backlight fuse when connecting the screen. Sent it off for repair and it came back with a broken front camera, proximity sensor and the top speaker. Assuming that the ribbon cable had been damaged, I sent it back to be repaired.

The workshop connected the screen and assembly to another phone and said it worked perfectly. They ran diagnostics and said that it had software problems and needed to be restored.

They sent it back and I restored it and the problems still persist. If the assembly is in working order then is it a problem with the logic board? If so then what could have damaged it?

Other than the connector (and the flex itself), there's not much commonality between those various elements; they have different power sources and drive circuits. Normally a repair shop should test the device completely before deeming it "repaired", assuming of course you sent them the whole phone.

I want to be careful here and not place blame...as a micro-solderer, I too have received phones that have issues that just don't make sense. That said, something doesn't seem quite right in this story. If you sent your entire device to a micro-solderer, they should be in a position to tell you exactly what the problem is and it shouldn't be incumbent on you to do restores (unless data was at stake) and troubleshooting.

They said they wouldn't do a restore because there was data on the phone. Now the data's wiped, I suppose the best course of action is to have them do a full troubleshoot?

That's what I would do.
