Can 18vdc rechargeable DeWalt or Fire Storm batteries be rebuilt using

Can 18vdc rechargeable DeWalt or Fire Storm batteries be rebuilt using Lithium Ion cells? If so, can the original NMH battery chargers be used for these rebuilt batteries? It would seem 18vdc is 18vdc. Thanks.
