iPhone de cuarta generación. La reparación es sencilla, pero el cristal frontal y la pantalla LCD deben ser reemplazados como una unidad. GSM / 8, 16, o 32 GB de capacidad / Modelo A1332 / Blanco y Negro.

Replacing iPhone 4 front assembly piece by piece?

Hello everyone, I made the very foolish mistake of rushing in and purchasing just the front glass, later on did i realize this mistake.

So I then purchased a front glass with digitizer.

(but no lcd) I thought they were the same thing =_= (I know noobish right?)

So my question is can I just purchase a compatible lcd screen and bind it to the front glass w/ digitizer?

or is it another waste of money and I need to buy front glass+lcd+digitzer pre assembled?

Thanks for any help, tips, or advice.

There are those of us on here that say it can be separated with a heat gun and lots of luck and than there is the school of thought that realizes that the easiest and safest way to replace the LCD is to do it as a single unit. The glass and LCD and Digitizer are adhered into a single unit. Hope this helps, good luck

Hey kvnta,

I heard of people that managed to disassemble the Display Assembly (although not without breaking the whole thing to pieces), but I don't think you you can buy just an LCD and then put everything together with a little glue. Moreover, even if it were possible (which I'm sure it isn't) how would that look like with all the glue in between the different parts...

Nope sorry pal, that was just a waste of money.

Here is the right place to get a replacement for your display assembly:

Thanks for the answer. I was looking at this

http://cgi.ebay.com/Replacement-LCD-Scre...

Im thinking that the touch screen lcd is a bit longer then the viewable screen so maybe using thin strong adhesive strips to bind the lcd to glass. I would put it at the top by the speaker and at the bottom just above the home button, and possible on the sides if there is enough room without it showing.

do-able, or more senseless dreams. :[

I think your phone would look like my old flipphone that is truly held together by electric tape and double side tape....:) I think you are asking for more trouble and spending more $$$ than if you cut your losses and get the whole new set. Just my 2cents :)
