Cracked screen, no replacements to be found. Even from Sansa!

Hi guys,

I've found it impossible to find a replacement screen for my Sansa.

I read somewhere you sell ipod parts.

Do you also sell Sansa parts?

Any advice welcome.

Mike

Sorry to say, im fixing my brothers Sansa Fuze now, and the only place I could find a screen was off ebay for $16! I've noticed they are not an easy part to track down. However if you search ebay, possibly craigs list, and keep at it for a little while you're sure to find someone selling another with a broken wheel, audio-in port, etc., for cheap!(or atleast cheaper than a new one)

Good Luck,

~Adam

Oh and p.s. If you didn't know already, this model is incredably easy to take apart and repair, and goes back together like new!

Adam, why not make a tear down guide and post it on here? Would be great for all of us:)

Adam,

Thanks for replying.

I scan e-bay from time to time, no luck. I'll just have to keep looking.

adam, do you have any markings anything that could lead to a manufacturer of the screen?

- de

If it's any help, on the back of the metal frame holding the case is

54_53_04625 and underneath

T1_A 090425

On the back of the screen itself is

VF20R011A SA 0921 0523 and underneath is

A27 1201-8239-1.

I droped my fuse, and now the screen doesn't come on. It is not cracked though. The blue ring lights up, and it is recognized by the computer. It also plays, but without the screen it's a potluck what comes out. Can it be fixed?
