Firmware EFI for MacBook Unibody A1342
I need EFI for MacBook Unibody A1342
Was anyone able to get the original 6,1 firmware?
I tried this method and now my MacBook says it's a MBP 5,5. It's a small detail but annoying so I'd like to flash back to the original if I could.
The 15" MacBook Firmware.scap is not working for me unless someone else has come upon a solution.

The link shows all models except the macbook 6.1
We can use Macbook Pro firmware 5.5 but Keyboard and mouse don't work in Sierra. Only in El capitan.

I am having the same trouble. Installed the MBP Firmware because updating from Sierra to high Sierra did not work out. Got an message like "something wrong with the firmware". Resets of PRAM / SMC did not help. So I gave the unsupported update a try. Unfortunately neither trackpad nor keyboard were in working condition since then. Also USB keyboard / mouse do not work.
At startup I am able to control the MacBook (6,1). Also during a Win10 boot or after clean installing 10.11.6.
So the hardware is fine. Just when running (High) Sierra I am stuck at login screen.
I would love to be able to revert to the original EFI version just the steps described above are nothing I would want to do. It seems pretty complicated. Nobody was able to get the original version back?
As a last resort I am now going to install High Sierra with dosdudes High Sierra patcher. Hopefully that works out.
Any help getting the original firmware back one the machine is highly appreciated.
Best regard,
Markus
