replaced screen but touch screen not working properly

replaced my iPhone 5 screen and the touch screen isn't working properly, all parts work but sometimes it thinks I'm still pressing down, pressing in a different place or doesn't swipe properly

Re-install your old screen (assuming it was cracked but functional). If the old one works, then you likely have a bad replacement screen.

Its a common issue for iPhone OEM replacement screens to have touch faults similar to this.

I would first try testing all your connector to ensure that they are all in correctly then try again. If this doesnt work then you will need to order a new screen

I find out that also trying to force the screen in causes this too.

Op have you made sure that the corners (dents) or edges of the iPhone housing aren't obstructing the screen from fitting in any way?

This greatly reduced the amount of screens that ended up faulty with ghost touch / touch dead spots.

Unfortunately when the screen starts doing this it ends up needing to be replaced with another screen. Sometimes it can be fixed by fixing up the housing to let the screen sit flat.
