More simply, try cleaning the dust/dirt using a can of compressed air.

After cleaning, I would rub the surface with a laundry dryer sheet (like bounce).

What this does is reduce any static that is attracting the dust/dirt.

You may need to clean once again after doing so with compressed air.

The front panel containing the mesh can be removed from the body of the speaker. See the replacement guides for more information.

From there, the mesh can be cleaned using a fine-bristle brush and a compressed air cleaner if needed.

If the problem persists, small amounts of water can be used to scrub with the brush. Avoid completely saturating the mesh, and use water conservatively.

Make sure the mesh is completely dry before re-attaching it to the rest of the SoundTouch 10 body. The moisture may be harmful to the electronic components found inside the device.

Would you use high pressure air to blow it out from the backside?

@mayer, by physics, if you point the air at certain angles, the compressed air should be strong enough (likely a fresh can on a hot day) to hit the actual speaker bounce off and force the dust off from behind. Another angle, you can reduce dust going in and simply blow it off from a tangent.

You can also use a bristled vacuum clean to suck off the dust. Dismantling is not necessary.

Thanks so much for the suggestion to go to the repair guide. My SoundTouch 10 is an off white color. The mesh on my speaker looked very bad, with many stains. I removed the cover quickly, following the instructions. Once I removed the cover, I sprayed it with Windex and scrubbed it with a cotton cloth, making it look as good as new. I rinsed it to remove the soap, then let it dry before replacing the cover. Bose's support team could have been more helpful with what to do. All they told me was that the product was discontinued.
