My powerbook was completely dead...no power at all. I removed the Pram Battery and the laptop started.
Do I need to put the pram battery back in the laptop or should I leave it out.

The PRAM battery stores date and time settings, it could live without it but every time the battery dies the clock will reset.

Also you will lose your printer and internet settings.
I'm trying to run a diagnostic on my cadillac but when I put the batter in and attach the positive the car tries to start. No key in the ignition. Trying to find out whats wrong with it but I can't run the diagnostic until I figure out why the car is trying to turn over when I attach the battery.. Why is the car trying to turn over via the battery and how can I run a diagnostic? Help
