how we can lower bowl or lift up beater

how we can lower bowl or lift up beater because beater is scratching bowl.

This is the second 6qt pro I’ve had where the bowl adjustment failed. The first one (bought at Costco) the bowl sat too low even in the high adjustment position. So I returned it to Costco and got a replacement. This current one was fine initally but in the past couple of months the bowl won’t go high enough to whip eggs or thoroughly mix batters and adjusting does nothing. Fail fail fail on an expensive product.

Ditto, I also returned my first one to Costco. The second one failed after a couple of months. I eventually corrected the problem by putting a hose washer on each of the 2 studs the bowl sits on. Still working a year later. Very disappointed with the quality considering the price.

Hello. It worked !!

I have had my lift style mixer for 3 years and every time I would make frosting or mashed potatoes I would have to stop a LOT and scrape the sides down.

I had to turn the screw to the left just as you said. I can’t thank you enough for the help !

I had this problem too. All the videos say to adjust th screw 1/4 turn to the right to lower the beater until it barely moves a dime 1/2" with each pass of the beater.

I figured out if turn screw to the right as instructed, it made the dime test worse. The screw barely turned an 1/8th of a turn and wouldn't turn any further. So I turned the screw to the LEFT a little at a time... and ta-dah. Dime test passed. :)

hello! how much did you turn to the left? my screw only turns about 1/8 turn each way.

Where is this screw located on older model KS35 Proline

No matter how much I adjust it the beater is still making contact with the bowl.

Did u ever get it to work mine does the same thing

I have the same issue with incorrect depth of the attachments on my lift-style KA stand mixer. As I am unable to raise the bowl to the required height by the adjustment screw, I merely attached to 1/16th inch washers to the stays on the lift (around the pegs that secure the bowl. This was just enough height for the successful dime test. I then CA glued the washers to the lift to keep them from sticking to the bowl and ending up in my disposal.

My adjustment screw turns to either 3 o’clock or 9 o’clock and neither way makes any movement up or down with my beater. It still won’t come towards the bottom of the bowl. The time doesn’t move!

Have you tried calling kitchenmaid? If not please try. I called their main customer service number for countertop appliances. They were excellent. The rep walked me through their bowl height adjustment test and after i told them it had no effect, she emailed me a prepaid shipping label. Luckily mine was still under one year warranty (she only needed my amazon receipt to verify, no other questions asked). I received a brand new one in two days and it passed the test right out of the box. Good luck!

I have the same issue. My miker is out of warranty. I cannot get kitchen aid to tell me how to fix it. I'm beyond frustrated

So I’ve had a bowl clearance issue after accidentally dropping a half cup measure in. I noticed there’s some play in the bracket that holds the “arms” that hold the bowl. I stuffed some paper behind that bracket and it holds it more up, enough to pass the dime test.

I had the same problem. I returned my first mixer to Costco but the replacement did the same thing. I used a couple of hose washers to raise the bowl that extra 1/8”. It’s been working this way for about 3 years now.

While I didn’t return mine to BedBath and Beyond in 2017, I did put a dime in the bowl and adjust the screw on the base until the dime scooted. But it wasn’t good enough, so I did the same thing, put faucet washers on the pegs under the bowel support to lift up the bowl a smidge. Works mostly. Still have to stop mixing and manually push unmixed ingredients into center of bowel to get incorporated.Point of sharing is Ive done this trick for eight years and mostly fixes the problem. :)
