Power port is pushed in to phone, unable to charge.

I am unable to charge my 2 month old K7 phone. Suddenly the power port became "loose" causing the cord to fall off very easily. The port appears to be pushed in to the phone a bit. Help Please! How can I charge my battery? Thank you in advance.

Because your phone is within the one year warranty, you can get it repaired by LG for free. Contact customer service, and tell them what's wrong. Do not dismantle your device or your warranty will be void. Make sure you have your purchase info available when you contact them. Most products these days have a one year warranty. Many people forget or even don't know about warranties. I hope this solves your question. If not so, leave a comment below and I'll tell you how to fix the problem yourself.

While I halfway agree with you. If the company will honor the warranty, and just give you a new phone. Pretty worth it. However, warrantys usually mean, you give them half of what the device is worth, the device, and they give you a refurbished one in return. Which is a nice way of saying used

You don't have to pay a cent for a manufacturer warranty, except for shipping sometimes. Large companies will honor their warranty and either fix or replace the phone for free, sans shipping.

Ehh... This has not been my, or many peoples experience. They don't just doll out devices, because you bought it in the past year

That's the whole point of the warranty! They fix it because they didn't make it right. Their manufacturing error, they should have to fix it. When a USB port gets shoved inside the device from regular usage, it's not user error, it's the manufacturer's faulty.

Hey hey hey. First, read my second post. Second, just because there's a warranty, doesn't mean the manufacturers will accept any phone "under warranty". Thirdly, this sounds like user error, not a warranty defect. Large companies will find any reason not to give anything away for free

It's soldered onto the logic board. Technically it's not the most difficult. But if you don't have any experience or tools doing this, a lot harder said than done. Check out one of your local repair shops

Since he purchased it only 2 months ago, he's under warranty.

Do you mean "A lot easier said than done?"

Thank you so much for your assistance, I will be checking into the warranty today. Although my past experience tells me I'll end up paying S&H (half of what I paid for the phone), IF my issue falls under the warranty conditions. Thanks again!

Yes, I'll be putting my bad a** voice on!
