2 Different replacement batteries not working

I replaced my iPhone 3G battery with a cheapy battery from Meritline and the phone wouldn't start, when I put the original battery back in everything works. I complained to Meritline that they sent me a faulty battery and they send me a replacement. Unfortunately, I've had exactly the same result. Any ideas? Can it simply be that both batteries are faulty?

i'd imagine so. they probably shipped from the same batch. send it back for a refund and try the one from here, or keep your old battery seeing it works..
