Moto X wont power on

Hey Guys,

I changed the display of Moto X. While removing the battery, I did not find a plastic tweezer so I used my screw bit...There was a slight spark.... I changed the display... But the flex connector doesn't seem to lock up properly.....

The phone was just lying as a paperweight for over a month(before I tried to repair).... I put the phone on charge overnight with a stock charger.. Nothing happened..Even the display did not light up...

When I connected it to my laptop, it vibrated just once and from there no feedback no matter how many times I plug it out and in...

I read online and checked for shot in motherboard by putting the multimeter on continuity mode, it was fine. My battery voltage read 3.8v.

What must be the problem? My power flex is broken and it will be good if I get the pin configurations on the power flex...

Is the phone completely dead?

The Moto X has a habit of requiring a higher amperage charger to restart once the battery has been seriously discharged. The stock charger is only 1.2 amps and can't give the phone the jolt it needs to "wake up" after a deep discharge.

Try something a little beefier (like a tablet charger or anything with 2+ amps) and see if that does the trick. There is a hidden green LED underneath the earpiece grill that will light up once power is flowing to the battery. (It only lights up in deep discharge or diagnostic scenarios.)

If that doesn't work, it probably means that the little spark you saw when removing the battery was not so little and killed some components.
