I have heard that special memory cards are required for shooting high quality video. Are there any specific requirements for this camera? I want to be able to shoot a large number of videos, so I need a memory card that can store them all.

Yes, you need to use a memory card that is rated Class 10 or above to shoot 1080p high-definition videos. Note that this requirement applies to most cameras currently sold on the market and not just to this particular model.
If you intend to store a large number of videos on your memory card, consider purchasing a high-capacity memory card for your camera. There are memory cards currently on the market that can store as much 512 GBs of content.
