Ipad Mini not turning on

Hello,

I have a Ipad Mini that wont turn on. I have tried the soft/hard reset and have tried charging for a night, swapped power cables and still no luck. I plug it into the computer and it's not coming up in Itunes.

Would you

A solder a new charge port into position? or

B change the battery?

I would of thought if the battery was no good it should still register when plugged into Itunes.

Any help would be appreciated.

Just received it from a client. All I know is that one day it was working and then one day it wasn't. The Ipad is in extremely good condition. The charge port at the bottom is in good nick no signs of dirt/lint. Thanks
