Why does my pop up menu keep spontaneously popping up?

My new Blu phone keeps having a menu pop up without any prompting. It's a little different depending on what I using it for, but it seems as if the menu button on the bottom left of the phone keeps randomly popping up, despite my fingers and hand being very far away from it. It is making it almost impossible to use this phone and blocks the keyboard. Any idea what is going on?
