How can I replace the view screen on a GE RS 1400?

Some time ago I had damaged my view screen on my camera. It now has a white block/strip down the middle right of the screen. I don't believe it is showing up on the pictures themselves but it is just rather annoying not being able to view a quarter of the picture I'm trying to take. I think (after doing some research) that it is a line of dead pixels, but I'm not sure because it is white not colourful. I am wondering if/how I can replace the screen and also where would I find such a part and a tutorial.
