How do you install tire sensors?

Tire sensor is inside the tire attached to the rim. Unless you have the proper tools to remove a tire from the rim I suggest you take it to Americas Tire/Discount tire/ any tire place to replace the sensors/valve for you. You can purchase one from the tire shop. If you have figured out which sensor is broken you have done half of the job.

Taking to a tire shop is not a bad course of action. Jack up the auto and remove the wheel. You then remove the valve in the center of the tire sensor with your removal tool. At that point you place the wheel on the bead breaker. Place the hydraulic foot at the bead and slow increase the pressure until the bead breaks. At that point you can replace the tire sensor just like a regular valve stem. Once you have reinstalled the sensor take your valve insertion tool and replace the valve center and reseat the bead with the proper pressure. Remove the wheel and place it on the wheel balancing machine. Balance for interstate speeds. Reinstall the wheel on the auto. Then recalibrate the computer system to remove the old sensor and add the new one.
