How do I upgrade the 720p screen to 1080:1920?
Laptop is OK but the screen is crap. I have found HP docs about how to replace the monitor but nothing about what panel to use as an upgrade. I have seen some things about taking panels not meant for this laptop and changing the connector. Please tell me what panel to use and how to modify it if I need to.

Yeah that would be a problem except the warranty expired like two years ago.

Its not totally about warranty... the more important thing is the compatibility with your processor, graphics card support and pin type etc. I had the same wish; so I tried it with the help of a friend who is more knowledgeable, not happy with what happened !
