antifreeze leaking into motor oil

I had recently replaced my transmission on my Cadillac Deville 1994 with a transmission from salvage and after a few months of trial and error was told my transmission timing is off. Now after these other minor repairs I am hearing that I have antifreeze in my motor-oil? I had it checked and they said the motor is shot. So now my question is whether the transmission change had anything to do with the oil having antifreeze or a seal being stressed during this procedure?

Could be as simple as a blown head gasket. I don't think the transmission work had anything to do with it--just old age on the car. Link provided to show you how to change head gasket if you want to try it. Good luck.

I'd also check your freeze plugs for bulging for a possible cracked block.

not sure what the freeze plugs are as not car saavy, but can always look it up in a manual. That link provided is a sure know how of what happened and am now convinced that it might have been the z-max I used with an oil change that kind of voided whatever life I had left on the vehicle. It is now salvage material and wonder what I can get for it with what I already have spent on it. ;(( Asking for 700 dollars as it has new brakes and new struts on all 4..rotors and shoes are included, water pump, fuel pump, new starter, ABS is shot, but who needs ABS..always topped off the brake fluid as it does leak brake fluid. Even though I had the rotors and brakes replaced which works..not sure how long it would take b4 ABS comes into play. but all these new parts plus the labor that went into it has ran me a ton of money. Also a new heater blower which cost me $250. Posting it on craigslist to see what happens..didn't hide anything ....as is.
